Highway 6 Overpass Project

Beginning February of 2015, the Fort Bend County Toll Road Authority (FBCTRA) will kick off a $30.3 million dollar Highway 6 Overpass project with Williams Brothers Construction Co., Inc. The overpass bridge will connect the existing Fort Bend Parkway main lanes north of Trammel-Fresno Road to the main lanes south of Knight Road. The overpass will be a half mile long and will include entrance and exit ramps, as well as U-turn lanes located on either side of Highway 6.

The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2016. Upon completion, the Fort Bend Parkway will provide non-stop travel from Sienna Parkway to US 90A in Harris County. The Fort Bend Parkway will remain open to the traveling public at all times during the construction of this project

The project includes construction phasing designed to minimize traffic delays while ensuring the safety of the traveling public at all times. Please use caution and be aware of your surroundings when navigating through the construction zones and heed all warnings and cautionary signs. We apologize for any inconvenience that may be created by this enhancement to the Fort Bend Parkway.
